TRADING STATEMENT                                                               
Shareholders are advised that Spur Corporation`s earnings and earnings per      
share, and headline earnings and headline earnings per share for the year ended 
30 June 2005 are expected to be between 35% and 50% higher than those for the   
comparable prior period, being the year ended 30 June 2004. The increase is     
mainly due to buoyant trading conditions and includes certain unrealised        
exchange gains recognised during the year.                                      
The company`s results for the year ended 30 June 2005, on which this trading    
statement is based, have not been reviewed and/or reported on by the company`s  
auditors. The year end results will be announced on SENS on 15 September 2005.
