ACQUISITION OF A 60% SHARE IN JOHN DORY`S FISH & GRILL                          
The Board of Directors of Spur is pleased to advise that Spur has acquired a 60%
share in the Kwa-Zulu Natal based franchise, John Dory`s Fish & Grill, for a    
cash consideration of R5,5 million (`the transaction`). The existing franchise  
consists of seven outlets and it is Spur`s intention to roll out further stores 
throughout South Africa on a franchised basis.                                  
The transaction will not have a material impact on either the headline earnings 
per share or net asset value per share of Spur in the current financial year.   
The transaction is not a `category` transaction in terms of Section 9 of the    
Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa.
