CHANGE TO THE BOARD                                                             
In accordance with Section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE         
Securities Exchange South Africa, shareholders are advised that, with effect    
from 1 January 2005, Mr. Dean Hyde`s position on the Board will change from that
of Executive Financial Director to non-executive director.  In order to ensure a
smooth hand-over of his current duties, Mr. Hyde will provide consultancy       
services to Spur for the next two years.
