Notice of annual general meeting                                                
Notice is hereby given that the annual general meeting of the company will be   
held at the company"s head office, 57 Selkirk Street, Cape Town on 26 November  
2003 at 10h00 to transact the business as stated in the notice of annual general
meeting included in the Annual Report.                                          
No change statement                                                             
The company published its provisional annual financial statements for the year  
ended 30 June 2003 on 12 September 2003 and will distribute its Annual Report to
shareholders on 27 October 2003.  No abridged version of the audited financial  
statements is being published as the financial information as published on 12   
September 2003 is unchanged.
