RESULT OF GENERAL MEETING
The directors of Spur announce that, at the general meeting of shareholders
held on Wednesday, 27 March 2002, the requisite majority passed the ordinary
resolution, authorising the reduction of the share premium account from R242
221 373 to R232 458 090 by an amount of R9 763 283 as a capital distribution
to shareholders in lieu of dividends ("the distribution").
Salient dates for the distribution
The last date to trade in the company's shares for purposes of entitlement
to the distribution is Friday, 5 April 2002.  The shares will commence
trading ex-distribution on Monday, 8 April 2002 and the record date is
Friday, 12 April 2002.  The distribution will be effected on Monday, 15
April 2002.  No dematerialisation orders will be processed between Thursday,
28 March 2002 and Friday, 12 April 2002, both days inclusive.
