RETIREMENT OF A DIRECTOR

Implats announces the planned retirement of Ms Babalwa Ngonyama as lead independent non-
executive director from the Implats board of directors (the “Board”) in accordance with
paragraph 3.59(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements. Ms Ngonyama’s retirement will
take effect on conclusion of the Company’s scheduled annual general meeting on 13 October
2021. She was appointed to the board in November 2010 as a non-executive director and was
appointed lead independent non-executive director in April 2018.

On behalf of the Board and management team, Implats’ chairperson Adv. Thandi Orleyn
extends her sincere appreciation to Ms Ngonyama for an outstanding contribution to the
Company over the past 11 years of board service.
