M-Cell acquires a further 4.9% in MTN

M-Cell has acquired a further 4.9% in MTN, in exchange for 77.6m M-Cell shares. The acquisition represents a further step in the consolidation of MTN Holdings into M-Cell as approved by shareholders. M-Cell's current shareholding will increase to 77.0% (72.1%) after the acquisition. M-Cell has also suspended negotiations regarding Transnet swapping its shareholding in MTN for the issue of ordinary M-Cell shares. The cautionary announcement is therefore withdrawn.
