Change of Company Secretary                                                     
In compliance with rule 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the      
following information is disclosed:                                             
Mr Ivan Dittrich has tendered his resignation as Datatec`s Company Secretary in 
order to focus on Group corporate finance activities. Datatec has appointed a   
corporate body, Datatec Management Services (Pty) Limited, as its new Company   
Secretary. Datatec Management Services (Pty) Limited is a South African company 
managed by Mr Simon Morris who is the Company Secretary of several of Datatec`s 
UK subsidiaries.                                                                
The above change of Company Secretary of Datatec becomes effective on 1 January 
2007.
