Westcon appoints former Dell and Brambles executive as CEO

Datatec Limited, (JSE/AIM: DTC, "Datatec" or “the Group”), the international Information and
Communications Technology (ICT) group, has appointed Dolph Westerbos as Chief Executive
Officer of Westcon Group, its global distribution of advanced networking, security and unified
communications solutions division, with effect from 1 January 2014. He will take over from
Dean Douglas who is leaving Datatec to take up another role, after a handover in January.

Dolph, a joint US/Dutch national, has over the last 20 years held a number of senior roles at
Brambles, Dell and ModusLink. His experience has been principally gained in B2B services,
covering the technology sector, supply chain and asset management as well as Business
Process Outsourcing (BPO) operations.

For the last three plus years Dolph has worked at CHEP, the main operating company of
Brambles (ASX listed: ‘BXB’). He was Group President of Asia-Pacific and Europe, Middle East
and Africa (EMEA) operations as well as Head of Global Strategy and Marketing. He was
responsible for revenues of $2 billion, 7,000 employees and operations in over 40 countries.

Prior to this, Dolph worked for Dell where he was Vice President of Solutions and Services
(EMEA), a business with revenues of approximately $2.5 billion operating across 50 countries
and consisting of managed services, consulting, software, and datacentre products.
Previously Dolph helped set up Dell's channel business in Europe, managing the company's
relationships with its value added resellers. Dolph ran that business in Western Europe.

Before Dell, Dolph worked at NASDAQ-listed ModusLink, a global provider of supply chain, IT
and business process outsourcing services, for 12 years in a number of international senior
general manager, operations, technology and sales roles.

Jens Montanana, Datatec's Chief Executive commented:

“Dolph brings a considerable international track record, so we are delighted that
he is joining us to run Westcon. His experience in global supply chain operations
coupled with technology based services and his focus on operational efficiency and
international commerce will be invaluable.

“On behalf of the Datatec Board, I’d like to thank Dean for his significant
achievements in globalising Westcon over the last five years. We wish him well in
his next role.”
