FUNKE IGHODARO APPOINTED AS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Datatec Limited ("Datatec" or "the Group", JSE and LSE: DTC), the
international Information & Communications Technology (ICT) group, has
appointed Ms Olufunke ("Funke") Ighodaro as a non-executive Director to the
Board of Datatec with immediate effect.
Funke Ighodaro, aged 47, is Chief Financial Officer of Primedia (Pty) Ltd, a
leading South African media group which delisted from the JSE Limited in
September 2007, following a leveraged buyout. She has held the position
since September 2001 and was previously Managing Director of private equity
firm Kagiso Ventures Limited and Executive Director of its parent company,
Kagiso Trust Investment Company. Prior to this, she worked in the corporate
finance division of Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank and trained and
qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in London,
where she spent a total of 10 years in audit and tax.
Funke is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and
Wales and she will serve as a member of Datatec`s Audit, Risk and Compliance
Committee.
